When growing in open field, a sunny place protected from winds should be chosen. Grows well in fertile, moist and warm humus-rich, cultivated, non-acidic (pH 6.5) sandy or light loamy soil. During fruit development, sweet pepper should be abundantly watered 2–3 times a week, preferably until noon.
