Dwarf French Bean - CARUSO, organic seed
Phaseolus vulgaris L.
Caruso is a medium-late filet bean with long pods measuring 17–19 cm. It is a highly uniform and productive variety, ideal for home gardens or larger plantations. Caruso is resistant to bean mosaic virus (BCMV) and anthracnose (CL), making it a reliable choice for growers.Growing Conditions:
- Sowing: Sow seeds after the danger of frost has passed, when the soil temperature is at least 12–15 °C.
- Soil: Prefers well-drained, fertile soil with a pH of 6–7.
- Planting Depth: Sow seeds about 2–3 cm deep with 8–10 cm spacing between plants. Row spacing should be approximately 40–50 cm.
- Care: Ensure regular watering and weed control. Fertilize with a nitrogen-rich fertilizer if needed.
- Harvesting: Pods are ready for harvesting when they are bright green and uniform in length.
