Out of stock A superb long lasting large upright variety, long deep-lobed bronze leaves, bronze-red inner leaves, slow bolting, non-heading and decidedly tender variety that will provide a steady supply of leaves over an extended period . Don't pull the whole plants - be selective - go down the row choosing only the largest, tenderest leaves. This way the Salad Bowl will continue to replace itself the whole season. Use in conjunction with its green cousin for a great contrast.
- Sow from late spring until autumn in drills or under cover from the last frost until winter.
- When large enough to handle plant out ensuring at least 9 inches between plants.
- Keep moist during dry weather.
- Don't pull the entire plant, keep harvesting leaves to encourage further tender growth.
