PEA - NORLI, organic seeds
Pisum sativum
Norli is an early and high-yielding sugar pea variety, primarily grown for its tender, edible pods. The pods are green, medium-sized (about 6–7 cm), thin-walled, and stringless, making them ideal for fresh consumption or cooking. The plants grow to about 50–60 cm in height and require minimal support. The flowers are white, and pods develop quickly.
- Sowing: Direct sow outdoors from late April to early June. Prefers cool temperatures for germination (minimum 5–8°C).
- Location: Prefers a sunny or partially shaded area with fertile, well-drained soil.
- Support: As a dwarf variety, Norli does not necessarily require support, but a small trellis can improve plant growth.
- Watering & Care: Requires consistent moisture, especially during flowering and pod formation. Does not tolerate drought.
- Harvesting: Ready in approximately 50–60 days after sowing. Pick young pods regularly to encourage continued production.
